Lakers

It is once again a great time to be a Laker fan. Unfortunately none of my best friends are true followers of the purple and gold! As you well know I am a sports fanatic and do much better in any sports trivia than general trivia. My brain tends to retain sports statistics better than other statistics. I am back in California and able to watch my beloved Lakers. Dan is the only one that I know out of you guys that has any positive feelings about the Lakers but we all know that he is and will always be a football first guy. David is kind of sportscenter junky and the only thing I know is he was in love with Steve Kerr and the Bulls back in the day. Have you become A Golden State fan by now? As for Mitch he just loves to hate on the Lakers which is absolutely absurd considering he has been a So Cal man for quite some time. I guess the thing that tied us together besides the fact we are all LDS, is that we have a love for sports (sure there are other things but this is a sports post) even though none of us share a strong passion for any one team unless that is BYU (who are on the verge of breaking back into the top 25 in bball) and even Mitch doesn't share that one. In the end I would like to raise my glass filled with rootbeer high into the air for sports. Sports are great in so many ways and for some reason this post turned into somewhat of a touching message, Dan I can see your tears as you think of the little paces you will soon have running onto the football fields.
